Attendees to the Samsung ``Magic of Multimedia'' booth (#2981) at the CTIA Wireless 2002 show in Orlando will be the first to get a glimpse of two new Sprint Third Generation Phones by Samsung, the SPH-n400 and the SPH-a500. With their sleek and stylish packages, these two 3G phones combine full-color screens, polyphonic ringers and sounds through CMX technology, and high-speed Internet access to support new and enhanced applications. The n400 and a500 will be available to customers with Sprint's planned launch of its 3G network in mid-2002.
Additionally, the following innovative technologies are expected be available on the n400 and a500 as Sprint deploys applications on its Third Generation Network. For Sprint customers, 3G1X services are planned to launch nationwide in mid-2002 and are expected to initially provide faster wireless data speeds and enhancements to their existing applications and services when using 3G enabled devices like the n400 and a500. It also establishes a platform for later releases of new and more robust applications as data speeds increase including:
-- Sprint PCS Business Connection: Sprint plans to make it easier and
more
-- Wireless Digital Imaging: Sprint plans to offer customers wireless
-- Wireless ISP: Sprint plans to offer faster and easier wireless Internet
