independent music to 3G Cell phones, Personal Media Players, IPTV and Online Video networks. With an unwavering focus on the vanguards of Asian Independent Music, iamtv will embrace a wide variety of musical genres and will unleash the music programming that can’t be found on MTV or other television channels. i-amtv is aimed at a young discerning digitally savvy music audience both inside and outside of Asia.

In the course of working with some of our other projects such as Wildlight Channel and havoc Television, we saw that while American and European Indie music was very popular, there was a pent up demand for a pure Asian Music

Channel, so we decided to launch i-amtv to address this demand. ”, says Stephen McCormack, CEO of Wildwave, “We chose Music Kampany as a partner because of their extensive experience in the Asian music scene and their wide array of connections across China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and Korea. Malaysia is a perfect base for the Channel because of it’s strategic location within Asia Pacific.”, adds Mr. McCormack.

The service will run both as a video-on-demand service and as a continuous channel; and will provide a constantly changing selection of the best cutting-edge Asian indie music videos, complete with pictures and bios of all the acts. i-amtv will also provide a full range of real-tones, track downloads and wallpapers to compliment the video service.

Genervie Kam, founder and CEO of Music Kampany will head up Content Acquisition and Label & Act liaison for the channel. Genervie, with her Bachelor of Music in arranging, Fellowship of the Trinity College of London for piano and Licentiate of the Trinity College of London for violin, is also a much sought after arranger and performer. She has local and International recognition in the music business and has worked with such artistes as Jacky Cheung, Stefanie Sun, Maksim, Harvey Malaiholo, Jericho Rosales, Fong Fei Fei , just to name a few.

“We are delighted to launch i-amtv today” comments Genervie Kam, “we are committed to providing i-amtv globally, with the Best Independent Asian music possible via all the channels that the modern audiences require. We are dedicated to making i-amtv a trusted brand in this space”, she continues.

We have signed up to work with some of the best acts around” adds Genervie, “such as ‘So What’ from Hong Kong, IGO & Twisted Machine from China, Pop Shuvit & Nao from Malaysia, Firebrands from Singapore, Kou Chou Ching from Taiwan,,and Suck Stuff from Korea, to name a few. We expect to add exciting new acts every month.”

Wildwave is currently in discussions with Digital networks and mobile operators to take the i-amtv Channel to international territories including North America and UK as well as Asian Markets, and expect to make further announcements in the coming weeks.
