US : AnyDATA Corporation released today the AWR-600 WiFi router with broadband WCDMA HSDPA network access for an instant hotspot. This breakthrough product is the ideal solution for enterprises, restaurants, and other establishments that want a local network with high-speed Internet access.

The AWR-600 router offers a secure WiFi local network with data exchange rates of 54 Mbps using the WLAN 802.11 b/g standard. Instead of being limited to an Internet connection via a dedicated land-line that is often expensive and not readily available, the AWR-600 router takes advantage of mobility and broadband 3G speeds of the 90+ HSDPA networks commercially available by GSM carriers worldwide. For wireless security, the AWR-600 features 64 bit or 12 bit WEP encryption as well as WPA-PSK authentication. LAN security features include a firewall, IP filtering, DMZ, NAT with DHCP, Denial of Service, and MAC clone. It also supports VPN pass through virtual server.

Even though it has blazing data transfer speeds, the AWR-600 is small with dimensions of 155mm by 28 mm by 120 mm. For maximum performance, it features two antennas -- one for the local WiFi network and one for the Wideband CDMA network.
