MobileMe Application Could Help You Find Your Lost iPhone
![]() |
Apple has released an upgraded version if its MobileMe software and it now comes with an application called Find My iPhone.
If you've misplaced your iPhone you can use the application to find your mobile by logging in on another Apple device to see where your phone is on a map. You've got to enable the software on your iPhone first obviously.
Another neat feature is that if you have left your mobile somewhere you can write a message to be displayed on the screen. So if you've left your mobile in a shop for example you can write a message on the screen to call your home-number so anyone who finds it will be able to return it easily.
Another good idea is that the software can override silent settings if you can't find your mobile when you know its near.
If you know your mobile has been stolen or lost for an extended period then you can put a password on remotely to protect your sensitive information.
Find My iPhone also enables you to remotely wipe all the data on your mobile if your sure your mobile has been stolen. If you do then recover your mobile you can always use the backup that Find My Mobile takes periodically to restore old settings.
You can download the software from the App Store right now.
