Europe UK : Mobile music fans can now add to their collection on the move, as T-Mobile expands its Mobile Jukebox service by offering albums to download, from only £6. The albums will be accessible on over 50 handsets to both pay as you go and pay monthly customers*.

Recent statistics from the Official UK Charts Company show digital album sales climbed by 69.3 per cent in January - March 2008, showing the hunger for easily accessible music is greater than ever before. To meet this demand, Mobile Jukebox uses the 3G network “ where available “ so albums can be downloaded within one minute. Over 100,000 albums will sit alongside the 1.2 million singles on offer since Mobile Jukebox went live in June 2007.

To celebrate the launch of album content, T-Mobile is offering a free album download from Mobile Jukebox when customers join, renew or upgrade their contract. The offer is available from T-Mobile stores and online between 2nd June and 31st July 2008.

Gareth Williams, UK Entertainment Manager at T-Mobile said: We’ll have a huge variety of albums available, from top ten bands such as Coldplay and The Ting Tings, to up and coming new artists. The next generation of music fans want to be able to download a song or album the moment they hear it and Mobile Jukebox allows customers to do that. T-Mobile already had over 1million tracks downloaded in 2007, and we can’t wait for everyone to get as excited about the new album downloads as we are.

Mobile Jukebox albums and single tracks are ˜dual download’, so there are two versions of each music file for the price tag. T-Mobile sends one version “ compressed for a fast download “ to the mobile phone (AAC format), and the other to the customer’s PC (wma format) to store, burn to a CD or swap onto an MP3 player. T-Mobile stores your downloads to its innovative ˜My Music’ at www.music.t-zones.co.uk, so even if you lose your handset, you never lose your music.

For more information or to sign up to T-Mobile and download your favourite album, visit one of the 275 stores nationwide or log on to www.t-mobile.co.uk
