Europe Hungary : Offering the largest mobile broadband (EDGE, 3G/HSDPA) coverage in Hungary, Pannon accelerates the speed of mobile broadband services in 15 additional settlements to bring the Internet closer to all. The 3G/HSDPA network featuring data transmission rates between 1.8 and 3.6 Mbit/s will be available to customers in towns and villages around the Lake Balaton by the end of June. This speed enables users to download large Web pages in one or two seconds, and a 3 MB music title also takes only 10 to 20 seconds for them to download.

In April this year, Pannon launched two new Internet packages offering customers high speed internet as well as reasonable and predictable costs. Since that, their huge success has been proven by the manifold increase in data usage in Pannon’s network. Mobile Internet 3 and Mobile Internet 10 packages enable their users to access the Internet using their desktop or portable computer without cables. Mobile access means that users can take the Internet with them anywhere, including the Lake Balaton.

With the involvement of towns and villages around the Lake Balaton, Pannon's high-speed network is now available to nearly 37% of Hungary's population at 59 settlements. Hungary's leading mobile broadband provider offers good mobile broadband speed all over the country and continues to rapidly expand its 3G/HSDPA network on an ongoing basis in line with customer needs.
