iPass customers already have access to nearly 2,000 Wi-Fi venues in the Netherlands, and will shortly be able to take advantage of additional connectivity options via the T-Mobile GPRS and UMTS networks, the latter of which offers HSDPA speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps. "By continuing to partner with Tier 1 providers such as T-Mobile in Europe, iPass is delivering on its commitment to provide enterprise customers with a diverse portfolio of advanced connectivity choices," said Rene Hendrikse ( inset ), Managing Director, EMEA, iPass. "Adding T-Mobile's advanced HSDPA network to our integrated connectivity offering means that our customers can benefit from an enhanced end-user mobility experience in the Netherlands and increased productivity on the road." "T-Mobile has had a very successful partnership with iPass across Europe and around the world for a number of years now and it is a natural progression for us to extend this to 3G coverage in the Netherlands," said Pim van der Feltz, Marketing Director T-Mobile Netherlands. "As well as being able to access more than 20,000 T-Mobile HotSpot locations throughout Europe and the United States, iPass customers will now be able to benefit from a vastly increased level of coverage in the Netherlands via our leading edge cellular technology." iPass currently offers mobile data services in the United States, China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom and expects the new service to be released in the Netherlands in Q3 2007, with further global 3G network agreements expected to follow later in the year. iPass aims to simplify the provisioning of these services by IT departments across multiple countries, providers and technologies, by offering enterprise customers a single point of procurement, support and billing across a fragmented global market for mobile data connectivity. The 3G service is expected to be available once the T-Mobile network has been integrated into the iPass service platform and completed the iPass Enterprise Ready certification process. Users will be able to connect through the iPassConnect universal client, which auto-detects any mobile data cards and presents the network to the user. Enterprises will be able to use the iPass Portal as a one-stop shop for web-based management and unified billing. About iPass Inc. iPass helps enterprises unify the management of remote and mobile connectivity and devices. With iPass software and services, customers can create easy-to-use broadband solutions for their mobile workers, home offices, and branch and retail locations complete with device management, security validation, and unified billing. iPass offerings are powered by its leading global virtual network, on-demand management platform, and award-winning client software.
