Areeba Syria to Launch 3G Services |

Europe UK : Areeba Syria, Investcom LLC’s Syrian mobile telecommunications operations, announced today that it will be launching 3G services including video calls and high-speed internet. The 3G video call service will enable customers to communicate with other subscribers via audio and video means. Both users must have a 3G enabled line and handset and be under a 3G network coverage zone in order for the video call to work. Furthermore, the high-speed internet service will allow customers to benefit from high speed internet up to 340 KB per second. The internet can be accessed via the mobile handset, a PC/laptop connected to a 3G phone or a 3G card equipped with a 3G line. As with the video call service, subscribers should have a 3G enabled line and handset and be under a 3G network coverage zone to access the internet. Azmi Mikati, CEO of Investcom said: “Investcom is committed to investing in the future of 3G technology and, through our Areeba Syria operations, we are confident that the country can benefit from this technology”. |
