Europe UK : Argogroup announced the release of Monitor Master 7.4, the latest version of its award-winning quality management platform.

With steaming video quality (Video MOS) testing as one of the key improvements, the enhancement sees operators having the capability to test and monitor the end user experience of steamed video clips such as, mobile TV, music videos, film trailers and World Cup goal clips. Other upgrades include a fully integrated HSDPA modem module and an enhanced reporting functionality.

The new release provides significant new functionality which provides mobile network operators with enhanced capabilities for testing and improving the quality of the end-user experience for each of their services – pre-launch and live. The major enhancements build on the improvements made to version 7.3 which saw the Monitor Master technology integrated onto the hardware of Argogroup’s latest acquisition ACTeSys, provider of hardware-based solutions for end-to-end network and service monitoring

Video Stream Mean Opinion Score

Argogroup has partnered with Genista, a leading provider of Perceptual Quality Management Solutions. This partnership has already yielded an integrated solution that allows mean opinion scores for dynamic video stream sessions to be monitored.

According to Thomas Renz, senior VP of the Quality of Service Business Unit at Argogroup, “Testing for video streaming quality gives our customers a superb opportunity to enhance their services and thereby critically improve the overall end-user experience for their subscribers.”

HSDPA Modem Module – the “dream modem”

Argogroup is the first to deliver a fully integrated HSDPA modem module. The modem supports voice, data, messaging and local SIM multiplex capabilities, and many can be installed on a single agent.

“This version provides an all-encompassing test and monitoring solution that is cost effective and reliable,” said Renz.

Projector reporting enhancements

Major enhancements have been made to Monitor Master’s reporting capabilities. These include performance improvements, offline email reporting, annotations and new security features.

“All in all,” Renz explained, “our user-friendly reporting capabilities allow the right reports to be delivered to the right people at the right time. For our customer, this is vital for in order for them to make improvements to services before they are launched, or to make critical alterations to live performing services before the end-user is aware of any problems that might affect them. Without this valuable insight, the quality of experience of our customers’ subscribers would be considerably compromised.”
