First North American Operator to Offer 3G ``Pay As You Go'' Option
1st June , 2006

US : Amp'd Mobile launched the first ever North American 3G (3rd Generation) technology pre-paid phone service for their "Pay As You Go" plan. Beginning today, consumers can purchase online and through various retailers any Amp'd signature phone (Jet, Angel or Hollywood) with its enhanced 3G mobile media experience and vast entertainment content on a Pay-As-You-Go plan, breaking the barrier set by other carriers.

Amp'd Pay-As-You-Go allows customers to pay in advance for services and replenish their accounts in $20, $30 and $50 increments using one of three methods; directly through their phone, going online to ampd.com, or calling Amp'd Mobile's Member Services. The Pay-As-You-Go product offering is especially appealing to customers who may not wish to go through the credit application process. There are no long-term commitments, no credit checks, no contracts and no bills.

"Since we launched Amp'd, our goal was to provide consumers with the highest quality and most captivating content that the entertainment community can offer," states CEO and Founder Peter Adderton of Amp'd Mobile. "Now by offering 3G capabilities as a Pay-As-You-Go feature, we've opened the door for anyone to be able to experience the much talked about Amp'd Live and all that accompanies it. We are really excited to be the first to foray into this area and are expecting many great things to follow."

Additionally, Pay-As-You-Go customers will receive true 10 cents a minute flat rate calling plans with an exclusive "Credit Meter" built into the phones to inform customers of their current balance. Pay-As-You-Go customers also receive text messages sent to their Amp'd Mobile phone to alert them when their account balance reaches a certain minimum amount. Subscriber accounts can be managed and paid directly through the phones with a credit card.

With Amp'd Mobile's Pay-As-You-Go plan, subscribers can pay in advance for what they truly want -- 99 cents music tracks, videos, 3D games, Live TV and more. Those who purchase phones in this introductory phase will receive a $10 free airtime credit from Amp'd Mobile.

In addition to providing 3G technology and a 10 cents a minute anytime plan, Amp'd offers Pay-As-You-Go customers text messaging at 10 cents per text and no roaming charges. Customers can also download any song, anytime for 99 cents per download, and each phone comes with a set of stereo earbuds for a quality listening experience. Phones are also equipped with 128 MB of flash memory that can be upgraded anytime.

Pay-As-You-Go also offers members access to a broad range of entertainment programming, including Amp'd Live which, in addition to featuring well known channels such as MTV and Fox News, provides original content through Amp'd TV and Amp'd Radio.

The brainchild of Founder/CEO Peter Adderton, Amp'd is the first fully integrated mobile entertainment company for 18-35 year olds -- college freshmen through young professionals and early adopters -- and the only third-generation (3G) carrier in the U.S. serving their needs. Fast, fresh and on the edge, Amp'd Mobile delivers the most unique music, video, community, entertainment, sports and gaming offerings.
