Europe : 3's Talk and Text 600 has been recognised as "consumer contract of the year" at the Mobile Retailer Awards. 3's award-winning price plan was acknowledged by the judges as "leaving all the others standing".

The panel concluded "there is such a delta between the value of 3's tariffs and the other networks", that they simply could not argue with the value 3 offers consumers. Commenting on the award, Gareth Jones, COO 3 said: "3 offers consumers the best value on the market, we're pleased the industry recognises this too."

The criteria for the award consisted of:
* New ideas and innovation
* Best deal for voice calling
* Best deal for data and services
* Easy for consumers to understand

The judges concluded that there was a "disappointing lack of innovation from other operators...All we see from other operators is "double bubble". Where are the other interesting tariffs?"

"Consumer contract of the year" joins 3's list of accolades, from What Cellphone's Network of the Year to best mobile service from What Mobile and other best tariff awards.
