| New Display for Megapixel Camera Phones |

Japan : Seiko Epson has developed the S1D13715 a display control LSI for cellular phones equipped with cameras. One of Epson's series of "Mobile Graphics Engines," this is the ideal display control LSI for cellular phones and PDAs with built-in megapixel cameras. Samples will soon be available at a price of 1,500 yen per piece and volume production is expected to begin in December 2003. The
S1D13715 is a faster version of the popular S1D13710 and S1D13712 already
in production. The new product comes with an interface perfectly suited
for 1.3-megapixel cameras. The Mobile Graphics Engine series of display
control LSIs have firmly established themselves among Epson's wide range
of electronic devices. The company continues to expand its lineup of
devices to meet market demand for camera-equipped mobile phones with

Tesco
and O2 announced the creation of a new 50:50 joint venture, Tesco Mobile.
