Ericsson's 3G Wagon Trail
24th June 2002

With the rollout of third-generation (3G) networks supporting accelerated wireless services fast approaching, Ericsson Canada today offered media a sneak preview of the latest wireless products,
applications and services as part of the company's first "Drive to 3G Tour"stop in downtown Toronto.

The Canadian public will have their first opportunity to tour the 18-wheeler wireless caravan at the TELUS Skins Game presented by Ericsson on June 23-25 at the Delta Grandview Resort in Huntsville, Ontario. As one of Canada's largest R&D investors, Ericsson Canada
develops systems for multiple wireless standards as well as technology for
future 3G telecommunication. Ericsson is currently building the network
architecture that will support end-to-end solutions for the mobile Internet,
ultimately driving the future of 3G advancement and benefiting both individual
users and businesses alike.

"Canadians are among the first in the world to fully realize the true
potential that wireless technologies will bring to our lives - be it at home
or in the work environment," said Mark Henderson, President and CEO, Ericsson
Canada. "Our 'Drive to 3G Tour' is all about bringing mobile and memorable
wireless experiences directly to Canadians through first-hand demonstrations
in an interactive environment. Ericsson Canada is the only end-to-end supplier
of all key wireless ingredients - infrastructure, applications, devices, and
services - and when these components are shown collectively under one roof,
it's a powerful signal that Canada is entering a new wireless era."

Connecting Canadians through Innovation
Ericsson's 3G trailer houses the latest wireless applications for
business and personal use - ranging from Bluetooth to Multimedia Messaging
Solutions (MMS) to m-commerce solutions. In addition, a number of wireless
products including Sony Ericsson mobile phone handsets, PDA handhelds,
cameras, and more are being demonstrated as well. Drive to 3G Tours will
provide further insight into:

- Messaging and gaming applications;
- Network evolution;
- Mobile computing;
- Personalized mobility (connectivity and access); and
- Business applications.
