Am-Beo, a leading provider of Rating and Revenue Chain Management Solutions for the next generation services industry, today announced the launch of a new product to handle TAP 3.9 transactions for inter-carrier roaming. The product is called Roam Manager, and includes full support for GPRS and value-added services. Roaming is the process by which mobile users can engage in communications on a non-native network. The TAP 3.9 specification is the latest release of the data standard that governs the data traffic between operators in settling roaming transactions. This solution allows operators to collect revenue from operators whose customers are having data sessions or calls on their network, and to reconcile with operators whose network is being used by their customers. Eoin Leahy, Am-Beo Chief Technology Officer said Roaming is a source of revenue leakage for many operators, that can now be efficiently plugged by our comprehensive standards-based solution. Maximising the efficiency of the roaming infrastructure increasingly allows operators to extend the number of services available to visiting consumers. By including support for high value content-based and value-added services we extend the monetization opportunities available to network operators. Wayne Barsanti, Business Development Manager at Fujitsu Consulting, commented, Fujitsu, with Am-Beo are pleased to be offering the Roam Manager TAP solution as an important addition to our Revenue Management portfolio. Over a number of months we have been working closely with Am-Beo to provide a strong solution to the needs of TAP settlement. Our desire has been to find a solution that addresses the needs of the emerging mobile operators, as well as those of Tiers 1 and 2, in trying to incorporate the GSM Association's TAP standard into their roaming agreements. Fujitsu are offering this as a part of the service on settlement solutions. The world standard for billing of wireless services TAP 3, is a key ingredient to success for mobile network operators, said Christer Gullstrand, Chair of TADIG, the GSM Associations Transferred Account Data Interchange Group. As mobile operators adapt to offer the next generation services and applications, it will be important for them to bill efficiently and effectively and this is where TAP demonstrates its versatility to grow with the mobile network operators. Roam Manager is available immediately from Am-Beo and Fujitsu Consulting, with whom it recently signed a global distribution agreement. |
