3 UK to Lower 3G Mobile Broadband and the Mobile Internet Roaming Rates

UK : 3, the UK’s best value network, announces Britain’s lowest priced standard per MB data roaming rates, offering consumers the best value when they roam in any EU country, all year round.
From 30 June, 3, the market leader for Mobile Broadband and the Mobile Internet in the UK, will bring its prices in well below the cap outlined by the new European regulation – offering the UK’s best ever standard data roaming rate.
Browsing the internet using your phone or dongle while roaming in the EU will cost you the lowest standard price of any UK network in Europe – just £1.25 per MB.
Calls to the UK and to other EU countries from the EU cost 34p per minute, while texts to the UK and other EU countries will cost 11p. Calls cost 15p per minute to receive, and receiving texts is free.
This is not a time-limited promotional offer: these deals are open to all customers, whether you’re on contract or Pay As You Go with no need to opt in.
Whether you’re headed for the Algarve in July, hitting the Alps in November, or taking a city break in March, all 3 customers can expect consistent, simple pricing 12 months of the year.
Competitive comparison of standard EU pricing: Prices correct at time of release based on announced international roaming prices which will be effective before or on July 1st. Comparison based on standard contract out of bundle rates, seasonal promotions and data bundles/packages not included. Orange price range will fluctuate between EU countries.

Also from the 1st of July, 3 UK customers who roam onto 3’s sister network in the Republic of Ireland will receive a special 10p rate. Calls to any standard UK landline or mobile will cost 10p per minute, texts are10p each and data will be charged at 10p per MB. This promotion is available until 31 January 2010
