US : Dilithium Networks announced that its 3G-324M video telephony and conferencing protocol software, has been selected by HTC for its new Windows MobileTM Pocket PC Phone platform. HTC is recognized as a leader in the design and manufacture of handheld devices for a diverse range of customers, including major mobile device brands, service providers, telecommunication operators and vertical market clients. Dilithium Networks continues to expand its leading market position of its 3G-324M/H.324M protocol stack in smartphone ODM and OEMs worldwide. According to the high tech market research firm, In-Stat/MDR, smartphone shipments will experience a 44% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the next five years. The agreement includes licensing of Dilithium Networks’ 3G-324M video telephony application protocol stack software with Dilithium’s new AnswerFastTM Plus technology. AnswerFast Plus dramatically reduces video call session setup times to less than 1 second. Present 3G terminals typically take 5-8 seconds to completely establish the audio and video channels. Additional AnswerFast Plus benefits include high resiliency in noisy or poor coverage areas, and an unmatched interoperability record with deployed terminals. “We are pleased to work with HTC, the leader in Windows Mobile platform technology” said Lee Ellison Sr. Vice President of Global Sales and Support at Dilithium Networks. “Incorporating Dilithium Networks’ AnswerFastTM Plus into HTC’s 3G Windows Mobile(TM) smartphone will result in call setup times that are comparable to those of voice calls. This reduces wasted network overhead while at the same time significantly improving customer experience.” About Dilithium Networks |
