ASIA : Vodafone K.K. announced it will release the V402SH by Sharp, which features a built-in analog TV tuner, starting July 24 in the Kanto-Koshin, Kansai, Hokuriku, and Kyushu-Okinawa regions and later in July for other regions. The V402SH features a 180 degree reversible "Swivel Style" LCD screen that allows customers to watch TV broadcasts even while the handset is closed. TV audio-visuals are more realistic than before with the handset's high-quality 2.2-inch QVGA System LCD and a front-side speaker. In addition, the V402SH comes with an embedded mobile camera that can capture 1.30 effective megapixels, and photos can be taken in digital camera style by reversing the LCD screen to use it as a large viewfinder. The main
features of the V402SH are as follows: * TV
and FM radio audio is monaural when using the stereo earphone microphone
with attached TV antenna. The V402SH
uses a 180 degree reversible Swivel Style LCD screen, making it possible
for customers to freely choose a position that suits the situation.
Configurations include an open position for when the handset is opened,
a self shot position achieved by rotating the LCD 180 degrees with
the handset open, and a viewer position made possible by reversing
the LCD screen with the handset closed. TV broadcasts can be watched
in the viewer position for TV enjoyment in a natural style with the
handset closed. In addition, the V402SH’s camera can be operated
in the viewer position, making it possible to use the reversed LCD
screen as a large viewfinder in a digital camera style. Furthermore,
the self shot position is convenient for taking - 2.2-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) System LCD screen for clear TV viewing The V402SH’s display features a large-size 2.2.-inch QVGA System LCD so customers can enjoy TV visuals on the high-quality screen capable of displaying at a rate of approximately 30 frames per second, making for smooth TV viewing enjoyment. *TV reception
