Japanese Vice-Minister Visits 3G Lab

Europe : 3G LAB, the mobile interface company, was visited by Mr Shinichi Nabekura, Vice Minister for Policy Co-ordination at the Japanese Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications. Mr Nabekura was in Cambridge as part of a fact finding mission organised by the British Foreign and Commonwealth office, designed to showcase the very latest developments in European mobile phone technology.

3G LAB provides its Trigenix mobile interface technology to network operators including T-Mobile and Telefónica Móviles España, allowing them to brand, customise and refresh the screens of colour mobile phones. Tim Simpson, 3G LAB’s head of consulting, demonstrated for Mr Nabekura how 3G LAB’s technology allows mobile phone operators to develop compelling user experiences which make it much easier for consumers to access new data services,.

“We’re delighted to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of our technology to Mr Nabekura,” said Simpson. “Our technology allows network operators such as T-Mobile to increase the uptake of mobile data services towards levels achieved in Japan. We are honoured to be one of only a very few British companies on Mr Nabekura’s itinerary.”
