The new F2102V is Fujitsu’s successor to the F2051, which was launched in January 2003, also for NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA 3G service in Japan. Based on its experience of developing the F2051, Fujitsu has further optimised the performance of the F2102V and has enabled the following enhanced features: - Videophone capability using twin integrated digital CCD cameras, each equipped with auxiliary lights for video and photography in dim lighting conditions Client authentication to enable enhanced network security when making mobile payments and other e-commerce transactions over the FOMA network miniSD Memory Card storage capability - PC connectivity to allow for synchronisation and backup of calendar and contact information - Extended static stand-by time of approximately 310 hours (dynamic: approximately 240 hours) - Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) audio compression to enable CD-quality sound with NTT DoCoMo's i-motion video clip distribution service Fujitsu continues to be at the forefront of the development of advanced mobile phones based on Symbian OS for 3G networks. Fujitsu is taking advantage of the growing worldwide acceptance and take up of Symbian OS as the industry standard platform for the creation of advanced differentiating technologies and applications as well as compelling mobile content and services.
