HTC To Unveil Quad-Core Smartphones At MWC 2012

HTC are expected to announce a number of new quad-core smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February.

JPMorganChase have changed HTC's stock to "overweight" because of the imminent announcement of the new smartphone range. They also stated that HTC are expecting to launch quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobiles two months before its rivals.

Late last year we heard rumours about two quad-core HTC smartphones with the first one being the HTC Edge. The HTC Edge is expected to have a 1.5 GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7 inch touch-screen and an 8 mega-pixel camera.

The second quad-core smartphone leaked was the HTC Zeta (pictured above) which was rumoured to have a 2.5 Ghz quad-core processor. If this does prove correct then we'd expect the Zeta to launch much later in the year as this jump in speed seems huge.

Other features of the HTC Zeta include 1GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board memory, a 4.5 inch touch-screen and an 8 mega-pixel camera.

Whether we'll see the HTC Edge and Zeta unveiled at MWC 2012 we don't know, but 3G sure hopes that's the case !
