Apple To Bring Hydrogen Cells To iPhone and iPad ?

One of the main frustrations with current smartphones is having to recharge your smartphone everyday to avoid running out of battery on your travels.

Well, Apple is hoping to change that with the use of "Hydrogen Fuel Cells" which could well replace batteries in mobiles and tablets. Apple have recently filed patents related to the use of hydrogen cells in its products, which is a truly exciting prospect.

Car manufacturers have been trying to find a way to use hydrogen cells in cars , so far without success, because they remove the need to use fossil fuels which are becoming more and more scarce.

If Apple does succeed in bringing hydrogen cells to its iPhone and iPad then users can expect weeks of battery life . We arn't scientists so the whole thing is a little over our head , but the report states that "'Such fuel cells and associated fuels can potentially achieve high volumetric and gravimetric energy densities, which can potentially enable continued operation of portable electronic devices for days or even weeks without refuelling,'.

3G is quite sure it'll be a few years before we see hydrogen cells being used in mobile phones and tablets , but hope that it becomes a reality sooner rather than later !
