ASIA : iPoint-media announced that Singapore based MediaCorp Pte. Ltd. has broadcast its first TV show using iPoint-media’s mobile 3G live interactive participation TV solution. ‘The Sheng Siong Show’, a variety show airing Saturday nights on MediaCorp TV Channel 8, allows viewers to video call into the show from their 3G phones to participate live in competitions and have the chance to win prizes.

Joseph Daniel, iPoint-media’s VP, Sales & Marketing, commented:

“MediaCorp is the first major broadcaster in Asia Pacific to take advantage of our GOliveTV solution to introduce new TV show formats based on live viewer interaction and user generated content. We look forward to working closely with MediaCorp as they continue to develop other new participation TV shows.”

iPoint-media announced several  months ago that MediaCorp had signed a ‘software as a service’ ( SAAS ) agreement with the company for the provision of GOliveTV services.
