US : WJ Communications announced the initial production order for a TD-SCDMA Multi Chip Module (MCM) chipset valued at $0.5 million for delivery in the first quarter of 2008. Additional deliveries are anticipated later in 2008 to support China’s TD-SCDMA roll-out.

Our new TD-SCDMA MCM module is the result of this new direction and provides our customers with reduced cost, increased system reliability, and increased robustness.

We look forward to releasing additional integrated solutions in the future.” TD-SCDMA Solutions from WJ Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) is a 3G mobile telecommunications standard used in China. In addition to the semi-custom TD-SCDMA MCM, WJ has various devices ideal for the TD-SCDMA platform including WJ’s small signal solutions consisting of Mixers, 5V Drivers, and 28V Power Amplifiers.

An example of a frequently utilized combination is the AH212, a 1-watt high linearity high gain InGaP HBT amplifier, used as a driver amplifier for the dynamic single stage AP602 and AP603 InGaP HBT power amplifiers which provide excellent backoff linearity while achieving high performance.
