US : Juice Wireless launched JuiceCaster 4.0, the first application allowing individuals to create and consume rich media content from their mobile phones and the Web, and automatically share it with anyone. Providing instant access to other users’ content, the latest version offers free ‘from-one-to-many’ distribution of pictures and video in real-time.
JuiceCaster, available for free at www.JuiceCaster.com, provides each visitor with a ‘MediaBox’ upon sign-up. Photos and videos captured with a mobile device immediately appear on an individual’s MediaBox on the JuiceCaster Web site. A MediaBox can also easily be posted to any other site, including MySpace, Xanga, Blogger, GooglePages, Friendster and BlackPlanet. There is no limit to the amount of Web sites on which a MediaBox can be posted. Going far beyond other mobile content-sharing applications, JuiceCaster 4.0 features MediaBox ‘channels.’ Users can subscribe to other peoples’ channels to send and receive JuiceCasts via phone screen, computer or iPod. Now, JuiceCasts can sync with iTunes for ultimate user-generated content portability. JuiceCaster 4.0 provides a personal broadcast tool for creating, consuming and sharing media files, anyplace and anytime. The application empowers anyone to show their own original content to others around the world. “JuiceCaster 4.0 is the first application for creating and distributing photos and video that eliminates the hurdle of having to access a Web site,” said Nick Desai, founder and chairman of Juice Wireless. “We’re giving complete control to the user, facilitating true portability and instant distribution of user-generated content. With our latest version, we’re happy to help consumers and marketers alike serve and distribute social media in an instant, regardless of mobile device or platform.” JuiceCasts can also be created with a computer, by uploading existing files or using the application’s integrated recorder and a Web cam to record pictures or live video. JuiceCaster is the perfect mobile companion to video bloggers in need of a free, easy-to-use solution for mobile video distribution to users of cell phones and computers worldwide. All users can also create a personal profile, and search tools easily connect users both online and by phone. Visitors can also browse communities or JuiceCasts by city and topic.
