Visual Mobile Client Provide a Multitude of Opportunities for VoIP and 3G Operators

18th January, 2005

US : CTI² announced the release of version 4.5 of their unique InTouch platform. The open, IP and standards-based design of InTouch enables CTI² to maintain its leadership in the value-added services arena and provide innovative Next Generation communications, messaging and conferencing solutions for the emerging 3G and VoIP markets.

Inset above is Erez Marom, CEO of CTI² quoted below.

InTouch includes a new Visual Mobile Client (VMC) that provides subscribers with a visual mailbox on their mobile phone and wireless handsets - providing access to their voice, video, fax and email messages via an easy-to-use Graphical User Interface.

InTouch seamlessly integrates with Next Generation networks using SIP or H.323. In a VoIP environment, InTouch implements a standard integration with the Softswitch and Media Server, leveraging the Service Provider portfolio by adding Advanced Messaging and Conferencing services. InTouch uses the Softswitch Call Control capabilities to offer attractive savings to business and residential subscribers.

InTouch VMC is based on the J2ME application environment and supports a broad range of mobile handsets (2.5G and 3G) and other mobile devices, including IP phones, PDAs, and so on. This comprehensive product provides subscribers with a one-stop mailbox and entices subscribers to use value-added services. This is ideal for operators that are looking for ways to promote content and data usage, especially 3G operators in the critical stage of scanning the horizon for 3G content and value. Nevertheless, InTouch VMC is not limited to Mobile operators and can be deployed by VoIP or Fixed Line operators as well.

"The flexibility and high degree of independence and control enables subscribers to manage their mailboxes easily and effectively," said Erez Marom, CEO of CTI². "For subscribers, InTouch VMC is useful and easy to use - key factors for early adoption of a new technology. For operators, it is available and ready to be deployed now."
