Mobile Clipping For Wireless Phones

Europe : Surerange Analysis announced MobileClipper, an Internet service that allows users to create personalised web clips of web pages and view them on their mobile phone.

MobileClipper clips information users might want to view on the move, for example, news, weather, live sports results, lottery results, flight arrivals, live train departure times, TV listings, travel information and stock quotes. The results are viewable on any phone with a WAP or mobile web browser.

MobileClipper isn't just for personal use. Companies can clip address books, jobs, deliveries, information, advice or any instant and timely information that makes employees more productive on the move. It's also possible to use MobileClipper to create mobile versions of web pages for suppliers and customers.

Regarding mobile and PDA web browsing, Bloor Research/Silicon.com recently commented "Pointing your device at the broader internet doesn't help either - the vast majority of sites are simply unusable on a quarter VGA screen, let alone anything smaller". MobileClipper solves this problem and brings the Internet to small screens.

“MobileClipper is implemented using the latest Microsoft mobile .NET technologies” said Paul Whiteman, the senior architect of MobileClipper. “This allows it to serve information to the many types of WAP and XHTML device, as well as to Microsoft's own Pocket PC Phone and Smartphone”
