: 3GSM World Congress is the biggest show in the field of mobile industry.
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei") participates in
this Congress with the theme, "we hear you". Based on the
principle of "focusing on and promptly responding to customers'
requirements", Huawei is gradually being recognized and accepted
by international operators, with 28 of the world's top 50 operators
being Huawei's customers.
Huawei booth is located
at the entrance of Hall 8. Huawei exhibits innovative and leading
UMTS solution, cost-effective and 3G-oriented EnerG GSM solution,
as well as global leading Mobile Softswitch & IMS solutions. Moreover,
Huawei has built a 3G service experiencing area, demonstrating abundant
services including HSDPA/IP transmission, UMTS 1800 MHz, IMS, 3G broadcasting
multimedia, etc.
Up to now, Huawei
has won 22 UMTS commercial contracts and constructed UMTS commercial
networks in numerous countries and regions including Portugal, Bulgaria,
New Zealand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, UAE, Malaysia, etc. According to
the survey by Frost & Sullivan, the number of new UMTS contracts
Huawei won in 2005 ranks No. 2 around the world which indicates that
Huawei has been regarded as a tier-1 3G supplier.
Huawei GSM has been deployed
in over 60 countries, serving more than 100 million subscribers. Based
on the 3G technology, Huawei launched the new GSM solution, EnerG
GSM Solution. During the exhibition, Huawei has, for the first time,
laid out the new base station and BSC of EnerG GSM Solution. The EnerG
GSM Solution not only focuses on cutting down the network infrastructure
and maintenance cost for the customers, but is fully 3G-oriented and
cost-effective. Using Huawei's EnerG GSM Solution, the operators can
upgrade their networks to 3G and make profits even with low ARPU.
Leading the global mobile
softswitch, Huawei has deployed its Mobile Softswitch in more than
40 countries, serving 50 million subscribers. Huawei's GSM Mobile
Softswitch system deployed for Saudi Telecom Company ("STC")
kept stable operation and got through the peak traffic an equivalent
of 16 times normal traffic during Hajj in 2006. The excellent performance
of Huawei's GSM Softswitch system won high praise from STC. During
the Congress, Huawei presents its outfit of mobile softswitch.
