Spain : QUALCOMM Incorporated and leading European manufacturer Vitelcom
announced that the i-mode G600i mobile handset is commercially available
in Spain from network operator Telefonica Moviles.
The
handset is based on QUALCOMM's Mobile Station Modem(TM) (MSM(TM))
MSM6250(TM), which supports WCDMA (UMTS), GPRS and GSM standards and
is helping to drive the deployment of 3G technologies in Europe and
around the world.

is excited to provide one of the first UMTS i-mode phones to Telefonica

and consistent end-user experience for European i-mode subscribers."

The G600i handset
features the MSM6250 chipset, which is part of
QUALCOMM's Multimedia Platform of single-chip solutions that deliver
engaging multimedia devices and applications.
Vitelcom Mobile
Technology, a European company established in 2001, is a manufacturer
of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and CDMA2000(R) mobile phones operating from
Spain, France and Germany with manufacturing in Spain, Mexico and
Brazil.
