Europe : Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., China's largest telecommunications vendor, today announced the global launch of commercially ready-for-market UMTS devices at the 3G World Congress & Exhibition in Hong Kong. With the launch of the three types of commercially marketable series terminal UMTS products, Huawei is the first producer of 3G handset in China.

U326 above : UMTS single mode cell-phone, is known as "the key to 3G gate". With fashionable and exquisite appearance, this product supports WAP/MMS data services. This product features 1.8 inch 65K true color screen, making its cost performance really high. It is one of the most petite 3G cell-phones in the world up to now, with its weight only 92 grams.

E600 above : UMTS/GPRS/GSM data card, can provide wireless Internet surfing with the downlink speed of 384K bps, and uplink 128K bps. It can also facilitate speech conversation while surfing the Internet, making it most convenient for business travellers.

The 3G products will be put into batch production in February 2005. Orders are being accepted now and the company plans to put out the 3G mobile phones with PTT function in the second quarter of next year. Huawei plans to further expand its investment in 3G terminal development and accelerate the introduction of other related products. As one of the world's mainstream communication equipment suppliers, Huawei already possesses the remarkable capability accumulated over many years.
