15 GSM Wireless Phones for Europe

24th February , 2004

Europe France : Innostream, Korea’s GSM phone manufacturer, announced today the acceleration of its advance into the European GSM market, by introducing advanced camera phones to the 3GSM World Congress 04 and the CeBIT 2004.

The new mobile phones available from Innostream are ultra-compact camera phones incorporating advanced technologies in remarkable designs. With an intenna fitted inside, the slide-up camera phone (INNO75) offers MP3 and MPEG4 capabilities; and a twist-type camera phone (INNO50) has a built-in mega pixel camera, a flash and an antenna.

Enhancing the mobile multimedia functions, Innostream adopted a mobile flash animation for display background, which enables vivid and high-definition animation service on the phone. All housed in a sophisticated design with various colors, Innostream phones also offer a ‘Real Music Bell’ function allowing a MP3 file to be used for the ring tone.

“Innostream has successfully penetrated the GSM phone market in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia under its own brand, despite keen competition against global major phone manufacturers,” said Gijong Lim, president and CEO of Innostream “Innostream is now going at full tilt to establish itself as one of the leading GSM manufacturers, centering in Europe this year.”

Since entering the mobile phone markets in Russia and Italy last year, Innostream has been diversifying outlets in other European countries headed by the UK. To strengthen its position in Europe, Innostream will set up branch offices in the UK, Russia, Germany and Turkey with the first presence due in Italy by middle of this year.

Based on its highest popularity gained at the Taiwanese mobile phone website (www.eprice.com.tw) poll against other global brands such as Nokia, Motorola and Samsung – for its INNO 90 -, the company hopes to double its shipments this year to 2 million units with the European sales accounting for 400, 000 units.

“The 3GSM World Congress 04 will be a venue to attract big orders from the European vendors, “Lim said. Innostream will present its latest camera phones at Hall 2 – F10 during the 3 GSM World Congress 04, February 23 thru 27, 2004.
