|
26th February 2003 |
|
The Data Planner is based on Schema’s TNG Multi-Technology Platform. Inset shows the The Schema TNG platform which allows you to utilize any of our products for any combination of your technologies - GSM, GPRS, TDMA, iDEN, EDGE, CDMA, CDMA2000 and UMTS. "Delivering high quality data services without adversely affecting existing voice usage is a critical success factor for cellular operators," said Yosi Ben-Dov, CEO of Schema. "Schema`s Data Planner addresses the needs of operators in the global marketplace by enabling the successful introduction of new services for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS environments, safeguarding existing revenues and driving future revenue growth." Schema's new data solution enables engineers to efficiently plan, simulate and optimize key performance and quality indicators of GSM/GPRS and EDGE networks consisting of thousands of cells. Automated processes and an intuitive user interface make the solution suitable for day-to-day use by RF engineers responsible for very large live networks. The Data Planner provides carrier marketing and product management functions with the visibility into end user service quality and impact testing for new applications. Schema`s Data Planner enables operators to optimally plan and rollout data services on GSM/GPRS networks while maintaining voice quality. The product enables evaluation of multiple data service allocation scenarios and their effect on the network per service, sector and mobile according to Key Performance Indicators, such as FER and RxQual. This, in turn, allows the operator to provide an enhanced user experience, driving up the adoption rate of data services, increasing revenue from the network and minimizing expenditures. The Data Planner is based on Schema's TNG Multi-Technology Platform and forms part of Schema`s comprehensive planning and optimization solution for GSM/GPRS/EDGE environments. Utilizing the Data Planner in conjunction with other Schema products enables the effective allocation of network capacity for data services to ensure consistent data transmission and reception quality without degrading the quality of service for voice users. |

The
architecture was developed with a strong emphasis on ease of design/verification
and deterministic performance for embedded signal processing - especially
wireless and 3G. Complementing the device is a complete development tool-chain
and a comprehensive systems library, providing a complete baseband platform
for 3G infrastructure. |
The
findings indicate that mobile phone penetration rates are slowing, but
the adoption of text messaging is growing rapidly, which bodes well for
carriers searching for additional ways of increasing their revenues apart
from minutes used for voice calls -- and for marketers seeking new ways
of reaching their audiences. |
The
latest Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Strategies report, "Vodafone's
J-Phone of Japan Leads 18 Million Unit Camera Phone Market," concludes
that 18 million embedded-camera phones were sold worldwide in 2002, of
which 13 million were sold in Japan. The above graph shows global camera
phone sales versus period. |
Murata
Electronics introduced the smallest Bluetooth radio frequency (RF) device
for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) applications on the market to
their line-up. Measuring only 8mm x 6.5mm x 1.6mm, the LMBTA068 series
BlueDevice is smaller than competitors' products. |
Its
2G/2.5G mobile solutions have been deployed in 32 countries, and over
20 UMTS trial networks have been established in China, Russia, U.A.E.
etc. And there had been 300 million subscribers for Huawei TELLIN intelligent
network by the end of 2002. |
