New GPRS Wireless Colour Screen Phone

Sendo has introduced the first of a family of new feature phones that will be launched in 2003, the M550. With its classic shape, and internal antenna it will be one of the smallest and most attractive colour clamshell phones on the market at only 77grams and 68cc and gives of up 180 to 400 hours of standby time and between up to 120minutes and 300 minutes of talk or gaming time.

It is targeted at the 'fashion conscious' consumer who is as much interested in how the phone looks and feels as to what it can do. It is, also, a highly attractive proposition for those consumers looking for their first colour screen phone including a CSTN s High brightness display with up to 4096 colours (128 pixels X 128 pixels).

The M550 features an attractive and distinctive bezel, available in a range of colours, making this the perfect unisex phone. It has a dual display, with an outer, inverse video mono screen (96 x 64 pixels), that allows you to check the time or see who's calling without having to answer the phone or open the clamshell. The bright colour inner display has easy to follow menu and animations with a range of background colour themes that can be changed to suit your mood.

The M550 is delivered with 15 pre-loaded polyphonic ringtones and the ability to store up to 500 phone book entries. With its dynamic memory allocation it allows users the flexibility to store more of what's important to them whether it's polyphonic ringtones, address book, icons, or images… they choose and the phone adapts.

The M550 is GPRS (class 8) with a colour 1.2.1. WAP browser that enables a richer, and faster WAP experience. To ensure users keep up to date with friends and family it has a comprehensive messaging capability, which includes T9 predictive text input, concatenated (long) SMS and 'Chat', plus full colour EMS so users can also send and receive their favourite colour images, logos and screensavers.

And for those periods of down time, it comes with four great Sendo pre-loaded colour games including the over the air two player game KombatClub, so you can experience lifelike combat with friends and enemies alike.

As with all Sendo phones it has a very easy to use interface and comes with a range of accessories, including a hands free headset and in car charger.

The Sendo M550 is estimated to be available in a number of European countries in the second quarter of 2003.
