is the 3G Protocol Analysis and Test Dilithium Networks' DNA is a dual-purpose tool that can serve as a protocol analysis and test tool as well as client terminal for H.324M/3G-324M (as defined by 3GPP and 3GPP2). Dilithium Networks' DNA offers a powerful and versatile tool for interoperability testing, troubleshooting and H.324M/3G-324M-based videotelephony service optimization for network equipment manufacturers, handset manufacturers and mobile operators deploying multimedia services over 3G networks. The latest release of the DNA (Release 2.0) offers enhanced functionality that widens the scope of protocol testing and analysis, delivers new interoperability troubleshooting and problem determination capabilities, and performance monitoring. New features in this release include additional multiplexer (H.223) control and programming options, new command and control (H.245) configuration and tracing capabilities, enhanced media (voice and video codec) control, and enhanced GUI. The DNA's new features draw on Dilithium Networks' expertise in multimedia protocols, as well as on the experience accumulated by Dilithium Networks and its customers utilizing the DNA to troubleshoot live deployment problems. The DNA is designed for diagnosing, analyzing and monitoring several aspects of videotelephony calls, including call control, connection setup and tear down, and voice and video codec quality. Operators and OEMs are using the device to test new terminals and their interoperability with network equipment. "Deployment
of 3G networks requires powerful test, analysis and problem pin-pointing
tools to meet the rapid time-to-market requirements for equipment vendors,
and network operators," stated Dr. Marwan Jabri, CTO of Dilithium
Networks. "The DNA is essential to test interoperability, troubleshoot
problems, optimize quality levels and make necessary adjustments before
investing considerable resources behind large-scale manufacturing, network
deployment or service initiation. It also can assist in the ongoing
monitoring of videotelephony services." |
