Teleca
Implement Their 3G Network Operations Support System |
6th February 2003 |
Inset is Dan Olofsson, Chairman of Teleca. The system will ensure the efficient operation of 3’s new 3G network. Teleca was previously chosen by 3 to provide a solution for planning, supervision and service provisioning. New functions will now be added to this for handling alarms and trouble ticketing. "We’re building a high-quality mobile network that will help enrich people’s lives by providing a complete range of mobile multimedia services, so it’s very important that we have an efficient network of the highest quality," says Jörgen Askeroth, CTO at 3. "We strive to establish long-term relationships with selected suppliers, such as Teleca." The solution in question is based on a service assurance product from Micromuse, which ensures the efficient handling of alarms and assures the quality of services, and a trouble-ticketing product from Remedy, via Teleca’s partner Syscom, that manages fault-registration processes and task handling. "The collaboration with 3 is important to Teleca and we’re very pleased about the confidence 3 is showing in giving us total responsibility for implementing the operations support system. We’ve been fostering good relations with most of the leading suppliers of OSS products for a long time now, and we attach great importance to making sure we continuously follow developments and help drive them forwards. This has led to us becoming one of the leaders in operations support system in the Nordic market," says Johan Strid, President at Teleca OSS AB. |
