UbiNetics
3G Network Stress Tester |
|
6th February 2003 |
|
Inset above is the Ubinetics LG200 demonstrating load testing analysis on a 3G network. UbiNetics has launched the LG200 series Load Generator, a network testing system that simulates 'real-world' network conditions in a lab environment. The 3G specialist has developed the system in response to demand from both infrastructure vendors and network operators as they ready their networks for commercial launch. The LG200 will enable UbiNetics' customers to test the ability of multi-mode networks (3G/GPRS/GSM) to support large call volumes and phone users' mobility. The data collated from the lab tests will provide operators with sufficient intelligence to iron out potential problems before commercial services go live later this year. The system can also be used by operators throughout the life of the network, from initial acceptance testing, interoperability and regression testing, through to network optimisation. "The networks
are in place but it's time to ensure that they can deal with the call
volumes that the operators anticipate," said Björn Krylander,
CEO of UbiNetics. Load Generator will be available from Q2 2003 onwards and will feature on UbiNetics' stand (stand B34 in Hall 1) at 3GSM World Congress from February 17-21, 2003 in Cannes, France. |
