: Vodafone K.K. today announces that as part of its new 3G lineup
it will commence sales of the Vodafone 702MO ( below )
, a clamshell 3G model by Motorola, on 11 December in the Kanto-Koshin
region with a nationwide rollout thereafter. The Vodafone
702sMO ( above ) , a candy bar style 3G handset also by Motorola,
will be offered from 17 December in the Kanto-Koshin region and other
regions afterward.

While
sporting different designs, the Vodafone 702MO and 702sMO have common
features. Both of the 3G models have integrated twin cameras on the
back and front so customers can easily enjoy seeing and hearing one
another while video calling.
The main features
of the Vodafone 702MO and 702sMO are as follows:
- Integrated twin cameras for easy video call enjoyment
- Multi-connect for mail and web access during voice calls
- International roaming for seamless voice, mail and web services
in Japan and abroad
- PC Link for synchronizing calendar and contacts with a PC

*Domestic 3G network population coverage was 99.72% at the end of
November 2004. As of 10 December, voice roaming is available on GSM
networks in 111 countries and regions, with Vodafone live! roaming
in 45 of them. In addition, voice and Vodafone live! roaming is available
on 3G (W-CDMA) networks in 9 countries and regions abroad, with video
call roaming available in 3 of them.
