3G CDMA Live Wireless Offerings

3rd December 2002

QUALCOMM Incorporated announced that the Company will be exhibiting and demonstrating its industry-leading wireless solutions at 2002 CDMA Americas Congress, at the San Diego Convention Center on December 3-5, 2002.

Inset is Dr. Irwin Jacobs, chairman and CEO, will give a keynote address.

QUALCOMM will showcase advanced wireless technologies that are helping to
accelerate and drive the adoption of third-generation (3G) CDMA voice and data
services in wireless networks across the globe. The combination of higher
data rates, new capabilities, and compelling devices and applications is
making yesterday's promise of 3G a reality today. Leveraging CDMA2000 1X
technology, QUALCOMM's products and solutions are keeping wireless device
users connected anytime, anywhere their carriers have 3G coverage.

CDMA2000 1X is offering operators worldwide a compelling 3G business model
that results in new revenue sources and increased Average Revenue Per User
(ARPU), which solutions such as the Binary Runtime Environment for
Wireless(TM) (BREW(TM)) platform and gpsOne(TM) position location are helping
to support.

"QUALCOMM is pleased with the rapid growth of 3G CDMA deployments around
the globe, as seen by recent CDMA2000 1X launches in South America, including
deployments by Movilnet and Telcel in Venezuela, and EPM Bogota in Colombia,"
said Jeffrey K. Belk, senior vice president of marketing for QUALCOMM.
"Building on the 3G momentum in the United States, Monet Mobile recently
deployed the first commercial CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network, providing businesses
and residents in Monet's markets with high-speed wireless Internet services.

To date, twenty-three operators in twelve countries are offering consumers
high-quality 3G wireless services."
Live demonstrations at the QUALCOMM booth will include the latest
technologies supported by the Company's chipsets and system software,
including gpsOne position-location wireless solutions and applications enabled
by the BREW platform.

QUALCOMM management will share industry expertise in several sessions
