On the 26th November we posted an article saying that there were now 3000 apps on Microsoft's Marketplace. Well now it has achieved 5000 in just over another month. Pretty impressive stuff for such a new operating system.
This news came via wp7applist.com who also provided the graph above. The jump from 4000 to 5000 took 17 days only. More good news was released earlier this week when the number of Windows Phone 7 sales were released by Achim Berg of Mobile Communications Business and Marketing Group. He revealed that over 1.5 Million Windows Phone 7 sales had been achieved so far since launch in Mid October.
The rate of growth for Windows Phone 7 apps is currently ramping up at an angle of 45 degrees which seems to indicate to us at 3G that we may see 10,000 apps on the Marketplace within the next three months.
