ASIA Japan : ACCESS Co., Ltd announced that ZTE Corporation has selected its NetFront Mobile Client Suite for deployment in ZTE’s F866 WCDMA/GPRS handset targeting international mobile markets.

The F866 will be deployed by H3G for its UMTS network in the UK beginning this Christmas. The F866 is the first handset from a Chinese handset manufacturer to be purchased in high volume by H3G.

The F866 is a dual-mode (WCDMA/GPRS), 3G handset with advanced multi-media features including a VGA camera, MP3 player, 72 polyphonic ring tones, audio and video streaming, and multi-party video telephony. ACCESS’ NetFront Mobile Client is a tightly integrated, flexible, modular and extensible software solution that significantly reduces development time and costs, enabling manufacturers to rapidly introduce advanced new mobile devices. The NetFront browser component in NetFront Mobile Client Suite supports the OMA Browsing 2.2 specification and the latest W3C specifications, ensuring a seamless and rich mobile Internet browsing experience.
