Europe Italy : 3 Italia, the Italian Mobile Media Company of the Hutchison Whampoa Group, Italian leader of UMTS with over 4,8 million clients (on September 30, 2005), presents Nokia Navigator, the new videophone that is also a satellite navigator.

Thanks to the deal with 'Route 66', a Dutch company specializing in satellite navigation systems and geographic localization, 3 Italia is able to offer its customers the Italian maps of 'Mobile Italia 7', right down to building number.

Connected by BlueTooth to the GPS Nokia LD-1W localization device, Nokia 6680 becomes a very easy to use navigator: maps are available on memory cards and vocal indications of the route are in Italian and are easy to understand and to follow.

With the 'Nokia Navigator' it is possible to avoid queues, downloading the info about the traffic also during the travel. Furthermore, in case of interruption of the system caused by an incoming call, 'Route 66' automatically recharges the route, guaranteeing continuity both as a videophone and as a navigator.

The new 'Nokia Navigator' also allows to you to insert intermittent stops, to save your favorite addresses, recall the last routes or to go and phone call to hotels, restaurants or gasoline stations. And in case of a mistake in the road, 'Route 66' will automatically reorganize the journey.

'Nokia Navigator' is a complete solution, with updated maps and 3D graphics. The packing includes the videophone Nokia 6680, the GPS Nokia localization device and a DV-RS-MMC memory card with a 256MB memory with a pre-installed 'Route 66' application.

For business clients the cost is only 99€ una tantum and only 6€/month plus 9€ for an obligatory Kasko technical assistance. For private customers 'Nokia Navigator' is available on offer for 179€ (instead of 509€) by subscribing to a rechargeable with the promotion "Scegli 3" or a subscription with the promotion 'Voglio 3'.
