This prepay i-mode primer flaunts distinctive looks, almost mimicking the iPod’s white livery. Its rigid, clean lines look classy while its slimline frame gives it aspirations above its affordable prepay status.
On the launch of i-mode we were immediately drawn to this handset, and it turned out to be very lucid to use, especially the tactile keypad and navigation pad, although it skimped a bit on features. The VGA camera is third rate while the lack of an icon menu system means you have to trawl through the different sections individually.
However, the biggest letdown is the screen. Admittedly the i-mode pages rendered appropriately, but a hazy film seems to cloak the display and hinder detail.
But really, for its £80 price tag you’re getting a unique looking phone despite the lack of killer features and, of course, you can sample the delights of i-mode.
