Europe : Germany-based ORGA Test Systems GmbH, the world's leading supplier of test equipment for (U)SIM interfaces announces the launch of IT¨ SIM and USIM Application Toolkit Editor - The IT¨ (U)SAT Editor.

The new product expands the company's IT¨ 2G/3G digital simulation with the simulation of (U)SIM Application Toolkit R99 + Rel.4 and allows mobile telephones to be (U)SAT-tested (SIM Application Toolkit)

This add-on software product, which runs on the IT¨ Digital Simulation Platform, allows users to create and implement individual tests and can also conduct all tests in the validated 3GPP TS 11.10-4 test bench. Any malfunctions that are discovered can be identified and analyzed with the aid of special functions offered by the IT¨ (U)SAT Editor.

The package offers a very powerful and highly comprehensive GUI - which means that using the (U)SAT Simulation couldn't be simpler. A unique verification and translation routine helps the user to create test scenarios based on 3GPP TS 11.14 R99/3GPP TS 31.111.

IT¨ SAT Editor has been designed to support the development and testing of 2G and 3G mobile telephones for SAT. The package will be used by companies developing and producing brand-name mobile phones, OEMs and producers of soft/firmware for mobile phones for development testing and pre-conformance testing.

The relevant 3GPP TS 11.10-4 test cases for this product are currently being validated and will be available in the new year.
