However, unlike Ireland, who undertook a soft launch to corporate clients using Nokia 6650 3G handsets, Germany will launch with corporate clients using only laptops. Each laptop user wil use a 3G Data Card about the size of a credit-card. This combination will give laptop users, speeds of up to 144kbps. Afull 3G launch is planned in 2004. Meanwhile in the UK, 3G services would be available on a limited basis in selected areas in April 2004, with mainstream handsets and packages coming nationwide in the middle of 2004. |
