Europe : A new report looks at 3G Mobile Internet in the UK and comes up with a surprising estimate. The estimate is that the number of UK 3G mobile internet users ranges from over seven million to over seventeen million subscribers.
The report “UK Mobile Internet” reviews the key factors which are driving interest from both advertisers and users. Advertisers are becoming more interested in the Mobile Internet as more and more users jump on board.
One of the key aspects of the report from Research and Markets is that a lack of suitably featured and subscriber friendly 3G handsets have dampened the demand for 3G Mobile Internet.
However, the report also highlights that with the advent of new handsets such as the 3G iPhone have given the uptake a boost. As demand rises for applications such as GPS, maps and social networking, an elevated rise in 3G Mobile Internet subscriptions will follow.
