3G Data Card Sales Surge

China : Sales of 3G data cards from ZTE have soared over 350% in the last 6 months of this year. ZTE actually report sales of 7 million 3G data cards in the first half of 2009. This represents the fastest growth year on year of all data card manufacturers.
In 2008, ZTE achieved data card sales of 10 million units. ZTE has targeted to land 30% of the global 3G data card sales in 2009.
“In addition to strong partnerships and a wide range of cooperation with the three major operators in China, we have successfully established partnerships with leading international operators,” said Zhang Yadong, General Manager of Data Card product lines, ZTE Corporation. “With a growing global customer base, including in Europe, North America and Japan, international sales have contributed substantially to ZTE’s strong Data Card sales in the first half of the year.”
