£3.3bn Potential Refund for 3G UK Operators

Europe UK : The five 3G mobile operators ( Hutchison 3G, mm02, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone ) have applied to claim back a total of £3.3bn in VAT. This was the amount they claim should have been reclaimed via VAT on 3G licences they paid over £22 Billion for back in 2000.

The European Court of Justice will make the final decision on whether UK 3G licensees can claim a VAT rebate on 7 September.
