World's First Colour 3D Wireless game
28th August 2002

IN-FUSIO announced that it will demonstrate the world's first colour mobile 3D game called 'Mission 3D' at ECTS in London 29th-31st. Mission 3D utilises the 3D game API of its leading downloadable game engine ExEn.

Developed in-house by IN-FUSIO, Mission 3D is the first of a new wave of technically advanced mobile games which promise to take mobile games to a new level - in much the same way as Doom( did when it was first launched.

IN-FUSIO's Mission 3D is the world's first colour mobile 3D game. Once downloaded to an ExEn( enabled handset, players take the role of a secret agent battling against a mad scientist and killer robots. Enemy radar, direction location, health check bar, mission and weapon status create an exciting game that can be played anywhere. Players can even download further levels and special equipment by sending a request SMS. Like Doom( players view the game from a 1st person perspective.

IN-FUSIO, which has been at the forefront of mobile games since 1998, offers a complete mobile games service and has contributed to the existing J2ME MIDP 1.0 and pending J2ME MIDP 2.0 game API standards. Since the launch of ExEn( in July 2001 more than 8 million game sessions have been paid for and in July 2002 alone, more than 1 million interactions* were recorded.

Noelle Beronie, Mission 3D product manager at IN-FUSIO, said: "Last year, IN-FUSIO's ExEn ver.1.0 game engine enabled us to deliver mobile games similar to those we saw in the early 80's like PacMan. Following the launch of ExEn Ver 2.0, in April this year, we have now moved than standard again to deliver the first real-time 3D action game. Mission 3D represents a new era in mobile games, an era which will be looked back upon as mobile game ground-breaking."

Mark Lefour, VP product marketing at IN-FUSIO, said: "The development of Mission 3D, the world's most advanced mobile game, has been made possible by IN-FUSIO's skill and expertise in mobile games. Our ExEn game engine, which already technically supersedes the impending J2ME MIDP 2.0 game API standard, has enabled us to push the boundaries of what is possible to play on a mobile phone today. All our existing customers are extremely positive about Mission 3D, the experience it will deliver to their customers and the potential for generating revenue. Whilst Mission 3D is a first, IN-FUSIO will continue to develop and excite the mobile game industry with new and technically superior games."
