US / Australia : Verizon Business has been awarded a three-year contract to provide managed security services (MSS) for 3's (Hutchison 3G Australia) wireless network.

Verizon Business Security Solutions powered by Cybertrust will provide an on-site security specialist, 24-hour monitoring from the Verizon Business Asia Pacific Security Operations Center in Canberra, and full integration into the Verizon Business Global Managed Network Operations Center. Verizon Business will also provide round-the-clock monitoring and management for 3's firewall devices and recently deployed intrusion detection system (IDS).

Verizon Business became the leading provider of global managed security services to business and government customers worldwide with the July 1 completion of its acquisition of Cybertrust.
