Galaxy SII Owners On Vodafone Get Android 4.0 Tommorow !

Vodafone have announced that Samsung Galaxy SII owners on their network will be able to update their smartphones to Android 4.0 tommorow.

The Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S2 is already available to customers on Three and O2, so Vodafone customers will feel the update is overdue. However, they should hold some sympathy for Orange and T-Mobile customers who've yet to get the update.

Even stranger is that Sim-free owners of the mobile still can't get the update, which is unusual because they are normally the first to get new updates.

Vodafone Galaxy SII owners will be able to download the update over-the-air or from Samsung Kies on their PC starting tomorrow, so they should look out for the update notification on their mobiles.

3G suggests that all users wanting to download the update should do so using WiFi, due to the large file-size of the Android 4.0 update.

We'd also like to warn Galaxy SII owners that updating to Ice Cream Sandwich is likely to reduce your battery life and make the mobile more sluggish. However, some of the updates are definitely worth the cost with the new user-interface, face unlock and visual voicemail being some of the flagship improvements.

As soon as we hear anymore about the Android 4.0 update hitting the Galaxy S2 you'll be the first to know.
