TDC Launches Norwegian 2G / 3G MVNO

Europe Norway : TDC Mobile offers a line of services to the business market in Norway through TDC Song Norge. At the same time it will become easier to be a Nordic oriented business customer at TDC Mobile.

This has been made possible with the MVNO agreement TDC Mobile entered into with Telenor, who has the best mobile coverage in Norway, in fall 2005. The agreement covers both 2G and 3G.

"It is important for us to maintain our position as the leading supplier of mobile solutions for the business market. Still more of our customers have activities in the entire Nordic region, and this means that they demand one supplier with access to consistent mobile services and products in all these countries. With the MVNO agreement in Norway, we expect to attract new customers and also to become better to maintain our existing Danish customers, who demand Nordic solutions," says Mads Middelboe ( inset ), President of TDC Mobile.

From today, TDC Song Norge offers a wide selection of TDC Mobile’s products and services for the Norwegian business market. First, TDC Song will introduce the subscriptions MobilFlex Connect and MobilFlex Data. Both subscriptions are well-developed, reliable and versatile business solutions, based on solid competency and experience.

"Our Norwegian business customers have been mobile customers at other operators until now. Now that we can offer integrated convergence solutions through our own mobile operation in Norway, we expect that more of these customers will choose TDC as their aggregate supplier of communications solutions in the Nordic region. We further expect to attract new customers with activities in both Denmark and Norway," says Mads Middelboe.

As an example, a contract has already been signed with Norwegian Orkla ASA on supply of solutions for both landline and mobile telephony, and data in the four Nordic countries. A new large public sector customer is the municipality of Bergen, which is to have all its approximately 450 branches provided with all types of telephony and data.

"It is part of TDC’s expansion strategy to further strengthen and develop its presence in the Nordic region. In this perspective, the MVNO agreement with Telenor is yet another step in the right direction," says Mads Middelboe.
